IT Support Technician

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Support Technician to join a leading values driven Sheffield based organisation who care about their people and who have a fantastic workplace culture.

This key role will involve delivering IT and technical support to IT systems, hardware, software and telephone systems and maintaining the IT helpdesk in accordance with the Service Level Agreement.

Previous experience in a similar IT role is essential and the successful candidate will have experience of troubleshooting PC and printer issues, setting up PC’s and will have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the IT Helpdesk by receiving IT problems and requests via the IT Portal, e-mail, telephone and in person and logging each call.
  • Analysis of each request via the IT Helpdesk in order to assign an appropriate priority as specified in the Service Level Agreement.
  • Take ownership of helpdesk tickets from logging through to resolution, escalating tickets to the IT Co-ordinator when required.
  • Configuration of mobile devices.
  • Diagnose, respond and correct faults within defined service levels, providing a professional, effective and efficient service.
  • Supervise, maintain and install computer equipment/software
  • This is a full time, permanent opportunity working 37.5 hours per week
