Restore Plc is currently recruiting for an Archive Centre Operative to join a small team working for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) at Hanslope Park near Milton Keynes. The project supports compliance with the Public Records Act in relation to the release of records to The National Archives (TNA).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare documents for transfer to The National Archives
  • Input paper and digital records into Excel
  • Assist in annual audit of inventory of FCDO records
  • Work in line with all company policies, in particular relating to Health and Safety, information security and confidentiality

  • Experience working in a team
  • Able to learn new processes and ways of working
  • Methodical and able to work to defined processes good attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and the ability to use your initiative when required
  • Excellent level of spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Interested in archives, heritage or related fields
  • We store and manage over 22 million items including archive boxes of document files, film and computer tape across a variety of secure storage facilities nationwide. Including cold war Air Force shelters for some of our heritage pieces we store on behalf of the leading museums.
