Successful candidates will work in a clean, relaxed manufacturing environment, assembling and testing high-specification scientific instruments, to be distributed globally. Skills in wiring, soldering, crimping or PCB manufacturing are highly desirable, although if you are interested in a role that offers training in these areas (engineering, electronics, assembly of scientific apparatus) with the potential to progress and improve your skills along with achieving company goals then this role will be perfect for you!

 

Candidate 

Requirements of an electronic / mechanical assembler :

  • Interest and aptitude for engineering and technology 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Commitment and dependability
  • Sound engineering skills (mechanical, electronic, electrical, assembly, sub-assembly)
  • Adaptability to be cross-trained

 

Preferred experience from an electronic / mechanical assembler :

  • A recognised qualification in engineering / electronics discipline 
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, technical / technician experience, or similar working to fine tolerances and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Wiring, soldering, crimping, and or circuits, circuitry, or Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing
  • Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement processes

 

Role

Responsibilities of an electronic / mechanical assembler :

  • Electronic assembly and sub-assembly of instrument components to fine tolerances 
  • Mechanical assembly of instrument components with a high degree of accuracy
  • Electronics to include wiring, soldering, crimping, circuitry, PCB manufacturing
  • Test / testing of instruments in accordance with production schedule, working to SOPS and QC control
  • Attend all daily manufacturing stand-up meetings
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
  • Daily communication with management regarding progress, training, feedback, and improvement of company manufacturing and assembly processes
