Assistant Hospital Engineer

One Hatfield Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced Assistant Hospital Engineer to join our friendly team.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, to assist Senior Hospital Engineer, with the day to day maintenance, management of sub-contractors and engineering of the hospital.

• You will have previous experience of premises management or building management,

• Be highly motivated, organised, full of initiative, and common sense, with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure.

• You will have the ability to relate well and build positive relationships with staff and key stakeholders.

Hours: 37.5 per week, flexible shift pattern to meet the needs of the service. On-call commitment.

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on skillset and experience.

Qualifications

• GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent.

• Any other City & Guilds/NVQ or Diploma in Engineering.

Experience

• Experience in building maintenance, general maintenance and DIY, and engineering.

Skills

• Handyman, DIY skills

Desirables

• Experience in building services work previously and PPM schedules, organised with customer

Focus

• Electrical/General Mechanical Engineering Experience.

• Healthcare/Hospital Environment (desirable but not essential)
