Job Title: Civil/Structural Responsible Engineer

Civil/Structural Responsible Engineer.

We are currently looking for a Civil /Structural Responsible Engineer to join the team based in Warrington. To lead the CS&A design team, manage the design work to meet schedules and Approve technical packages for the specified portfolio. The requirement is to be part of a Civil and Structural team in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering design work packages through concept, preliminary and detailed design. The RE shall report to the Project Engineering Manager.

Profile

Ideally you will be/have:

  • Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer (CEng (ICE/IStructE))
    Appropriate qualifications in Civil or Structural e.g. MEng, BEng, BSC, HND, HNC
  • Experience of working on projects delivering multidiscipline design solutions, predominantly on brownfield sites.
  • Understanding of the project delivery all stages of design (concept, front end through to detail construction). 
  • Knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes for reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures.
  • Sound working knowledge and experience of relevant legislation.
  • Experience of operating in a highly regulated environment; Rail, Bridge
    Construction, Offshore, petrochemical etc.
  • Experience of being embedded into supply chain integrated teams.
  • Experience of civil/structural safety design and interaction with the Regulator.
  • Experience of using Design Tools: Tedds/Staad Pro.

    • Security clearance:
    Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
