We are recruiting for a Customs Agent to join the financial controller department for a successful organisation. This role is based in Paddock Wood, you will be working in a fast pace environment. We’re looking for a candidate who is extremely self-sufficient. You will need to be an accurate and organised individual who ensures compliance is met to standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensuring customers get the best level of service

  • Providing regular updates to all parties on transport bookings.

  • Actively manage any issues/delays to resolve and keep all parties updated

  • Liaising with customers and providing them with excellent customer service

  • Supporting other team members in understanding issues and potential solutions

  • Demonstrable knowledge on imports and exports goods

  • Ensuring all goods are delivered on time

  • Providing reports to internal and external stakeholders

  • Follow all compliance standards

  • Dealing with customs procedure codes and specialist customs procedures
