We’re currently looking for a VisualFiles Developer to join our IT team on a full-time, permanent basis.

We have offices in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, London, Bristol, Southampton and Plymouth so it would be great if you were able to access one of these locations for socialising with colleagues and occasional office working. We offer hybrid and full-time home working so we’d also consider applications from people elsewhere in the UK.

The role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Workflow and Case Management Developer to take ownership of one of our business critical applications using the expertise you have already developed to support development, upgrades and ongoing support of our case management systems. This role will complement the teams existing skills, we’ll be looking to you to:

  • Develop the case management system with the aim of optimising the business efficiency and procedures.
  • Work with report analysts to ensure that VisualFiles reports are delivered to users including building tighter integration with Practice Management data.
  • Support the integration of VisualFiles with other firm wide packages including the practice management system and the document management system (iManage/ WorkSite).
  • Work closely with the programme management unit and the teams currently using VisualFiles to carry out business process analysis with a view to further enhancing and developing workflow processes
  • This list is by no means exhaustive and as the business grows and develops we see real scope for you to shape the direction of this role.

    What are we looking for?

It stands to reason that we’re looking for some significant experience in developing VisualFiles within a legal context but we’re open minded to other professional experience. Experience of Microsoft Word and template development would be useful, but don’t worry, you’ve got the support of a team of experts around you if that’s not your strongest area. What is crucial for success in this role is a real can-do attitude towards problem solving, a strong emphasis on team-work, an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing.

You’ll benefit from knowledge sharing within the team and will naturally embrace new technologies, ideas and our business requirements.
