FSO is responsible for the administration and awarding of universities funding. We are looking for an outstanding administrator and communicator, experienced in providing a high level of customer service, who can take on a range of administrative tasks relating to scholarships, bursaries and hardship funds, and provide advice to applicants, offer holders, students, and staff on a variety of financial support matters.

They will be joining a dynamic team, where the work is busy and teamwork is essential. They should be able to work efficiently and accurately while balancing a varied workload.

Specifically, I am looking for a candidate who has the following

  • Experience of working Higher education, with students and if possible
  • Use of Microsoft, Excel, Word, OneDrive and if possible
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Desirable if they have experience of using their own judgement to assess applications against an established criterion
  • Someone who is self-motivating
  • Uses clear and concise language
  • The general tasks will involve

  • logging and processing application forms from current students and offer holders
  • collecting evidence to support applications for funding
  • general admin tasks such as responding to emails
  • sending updates and decisions to current students and offer holders on application outcomes
