The purpose of this role is to provide financial and project related support to a Construction and Highways office who specialise in Civil Engineering. The role will involve working with a range of internal staff including operatives, procurement and commercial. The position requires methodical attention to detail and the successful candidate will be working to stringent deadlines.

Location

This role will be based in our Killingworth office, within North Tyneside. However, travelling may be required to other Capita offices or Client offices.

What you’ll be doing:

SAP/Desktop Housekeeping

  • Monthly assistance with the inputting/maintenance of project forecasts in liaison with Project Managers
  • Run project reports for effective budget management of construction and highway projects .
  • Complete project closures in our in house Desktop system.
  • Raise invoices on behalf of project managers (adhoc, as and when required)
  • Manage the recording and procurement of operatives personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Procurement

  • Create purchase orders in SAP system and make any necessary amendments
  • Manage the ‘goods receipt’ spreadsheet for effective invoicing.
  • Manage supplier statements to ensure correct and timely payment is completed
  • Monitor supplier invoices via our in house Ebydos system
  • Run regular purchase order reports for the finance manager
  • Manage our on site stock of materials (including the data input into the SAP system)
  • What we are looking for:

  • Microsoft Office experience – particularly Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Some experience of working with accounting or financial information.
  • Have a flexible approach to work
  • Have good organisational skills including the ability to multi-task,
  • Be able to prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines.
