We are looking for an Senior Electrical Engineer to work with a Chartered Building Services Engineering Consultancy in Preston. The last 18 months have been good to the business in terms of the work that they have won and the journey the business is on. Work has been regular and from a variety of sectors including Healthcare, Education and Commercial and the business is on a journey to go into Revit and make AutoCAD something that is used infrequently. The business works across RIBA Stages 1-4, does Asset Management works and performs Clerk of Works duties for their clients too.

This business is a little different to the typical consultancy. They welcome applications from engineers who have come through the traditional routes as an Senior Electrical Engineer including working for other Building Services Engineering Consultants or contractors. They particularly welcome the applications of those who came off the tools and headed into the design office at the earlier stages of their career.

You will be working across a broad range of engineering projects, including both new build and refurbishment projects across, predominantly, the Northwest of England and local to Preston, Lancaster, and Carlisle. You will be exposed to the day-to-day duties of a Senior Electrical Engineer working with the Building Services Engineering sector and you will be working with other Engineers and helping them grow in their own careers. This business is going through a transisition from CAD to Revit and if you have Revit experience that would be welcomed in this opportunity.

Ideally you will be coming from a college background with ONC/HNC qualifications as a minimum. Preferably with a degree and Chartered. You will have been exposed to Autocad, Revit, Dialux, Amtech and IES/TAS software as part of your development within a previous role. There will also be some opportunity to attend internal and external training courses, meet with supply chain partners and attend regular CPD events to help you develop faster.
