NonStop’s client is a local authority based near Richmond is seeking a Social Worker to join the Mental Health Social Care teams. The team is currently working from home due to COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions.
The teams consist of enthusiastic Social Workers and Social Care Assessors with a focus to provide a holistic, personalised, strength-based service to residents over the age of 18 who have a primary mental health diagnosis or substance misuse issues.
Responsibilities:
- Using strength-based approach in promoting service user choice and empowerment through promoting independence
- Facilitate and enable supervisees to make responsive communication with partners, especially the Health Trust.
- Ensure accurate electronic recording for self and supervisees (good report writing skills are very important).
- Undertake statutory interventions, act as SAM (Safeguarding adult manager) where service users are deemed to be at risk
- Authorising Reviews/ assessments, reassessments and arranging necessary funding to meet the requirements of individual support plans within available resources.
- Manage the team’s duty team on a rota basis and oversee all incoming referrals and safeguarding concerns.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, maintaining an awareness of the equality and diversity protocol/policy
