THE COMPANY:

A UK market leader as part of a global group, my client has established itself as the key player in a variety of sectors. The business has been through transformation during the pandemic and has enjoyed a number of months of growth which has lead to the development of it’s leadership team.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is a key role working with the members of the Senior Leadership Team with the primary purpose of the role to drive strategic and tactical direction and improved business performance. You create a culture of collaboration, driving the partnership between all commercial areas and finance.

Duties include:

  • Responsibility for the annual budget and forecasting cycle for the UK business,
  • You analyse and report on the external market, customers, competitors,
  • You will challenge business financial and performance targets, using MI to drive the stakeholders to implement actions,
  • M&A planning including DD and strategy for implementation of acquisitions and disposals,
  • Work with the sales and operations Directors to drive business performance,
  • Day to day line management and coaching for talented team ensuring a clear set of targets are communicated and regular reviews are implemented to aid business performance.
  • THE CANDIDATE:

    The Head of Commercial Finance will establish essential processes, expectations and behaviours across the business to aid business performance. This will require you to influence stakeholders and to give clarity over areas of improvement both from a sales and operations perspective. Reporting into the inspiring CFO, you will be a commercially-minded leader and business partner, with proven experience of building strong relationships within the non-financial stakeholders.

    The ideal candidate will ideally be:

  • You will be a true financial leader, taking ownership of the delivery of business and financial targets.
  • At a Qualified level (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • Able to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with various stakeholders preferably in a multinational company
  • Able to manipulate, and manage large sets of data, and assimilate into incisive analysis for senior management
  • Experience of producing detailed multi-site budgets inclusive of P&L’s, balance sheets, cashflows and detailed financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Strong system skills (Advanced excel and powerpoint skills) and experience of using a reporting system such as Hyperion or PBCS
  • Open to occasional travel to operational sites including overseas.

  • £80,000 – £90,000 salary
