About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a General Foreman to join our HS2 Mainline team to work in Lichfield. You will be working as part of the delivery team delivering, earthworks packages of works.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carries out Safety and Environmental tours as required by the project H&S plan
  • Contributes to accident/incident investigations. Directs the appropriate action arising (HFACS and four page reports)
  • Ensures that sufficient resources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability
  • Implements systems and processes to manage the quality of the constructive works
  • Apply skills and knowledge to assist engineering teams in planning stage programmes
  • Involved in the procurement of subcontractors and advises on commercial aspects/preferred attendances
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Experience working as a General Foreman on large scale infrastructure and civils projects
  • Bulk earthworks experience
  • CSCS
  • SMSTS
