Are you a CNC Service Engineer looking to work for one of the biggest OEM’s in CNC machine tools? Looking for a role that pays door to door travel and overtime? With a reputation for exceptional quality and reliability, their machine tools are globally recognised. They have a strong network of over 22 service engineers across the UK, along with 2 additional technical support staff who are office based. They have a head office here in the UK for equipment storage, refurbishment and distribution, as well as a global headquarters outside of the UK where the machines are built.

Responsibilities for the service engineer include –

  • Breakdown repairs and maintenance of CNC Machines including multi axis Mills and Lathes
  • Routine service and inspections, as well as fault finding using software
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs and part replacement
  • Installation and commissioning of machinery on site
  • Ordering of parts from the office, replacing and retrofitting
  • Providing end user training and customer support both remotely and on site
  • Travel from home to site covering a region of up to 2hrs from your location, but be prepared to travel nationally when installation & commissioning projects are required.
  • Benefits include excellent base salary of up to £40K depending on experience, plus an OTE of £50-£55K with door to door payment and overtime overtime weekday / weekends, company vehicle with choice of van or hybrid car, mobile phone & laptop, 33 days holiday, yearly bonuses private pension, death in service and yearly salary reviews.

    Lots of product training provided, including trips overseas to the manufacturing facilities where the machines are built, along with job shadowing with senior engineers in the team.
    We would love to hear from you if you possess the following experience and skills –

    – Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance of CNC, Field Technician, CNC Engineer
    – Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools including lathes and mills
    – Confident both electrically and mechanically
    – Good knowledge of fault finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspections
    – Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
    – Clean driving license
