Job summary

The Leadership and Management Learning Delivery Manager has responsibility for developing and delivering the HRA’s Leadership, Management and continuing professional development programmes.. They work closely with the Head of Learning and Knowledge Management to ensure the development and delivery of programmes is in line with the 70-20-10 model and that effective evaluation of return on investment is carried out to establish the impact and benefit of the learning journey.

They will be responsible for developing and embedding an approach to talent management and career development for the HRA. They will provide coaching, learning delivery and development initiatives across a broad range of learning in addition to designing and delivering interventions to support organisational development.

They will work in partnership with other heads of function to ensure L&D led staff engagement initiatives embed our organisational values, desired behaviour and culture, making the HRA a great place to work.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job include, planning, designing, developing content and delivery of a wide range of innovative leadership and management training and development programmes in line with the 70:20:10 methodology such as middle manager, leadership courses, first line management courses, performance and change management courses, key HR training programmes, a broad range of soft skills training programmes and organisational development training initiatives to required groups in a formal setting.

To act as a leadership and management coach to new, aspiring and existing managers at all levels and to support professional development, departmental projects and change initiatives.

Work with the Head of Learning and Knowledge management to develop a leadership competencies and behaviours framework and ensure this feeds through into the design and delivery of learning modules and programmes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing a comprehensive talent management programme to ensure staff at the HRA are able to thrive at work.

  • Professional qualification at level 5 or above for delivering Training, Learning, Teaching and Learning Facilitation
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of current best practice in learning and development theory and concepts including related areas of soft skills with particular reference to leadership and management development
