An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic outpatient nurses to join our existing teams within General Outpatients. We are looking for HCA’s who as well as having excellent organisational and people skills, possess a variety of nursing skills.
We are a dedicated and supportive team that provides treatment and care to a wide variety of patients. Our departments are busy, unpredictable environments, where we care for a variety of patients attending appointments for a wide range of specialties including dermatology, Gynaecology, Rheumatology, Urology, Cardiology and many more.
Our departments are open Monday to Friday 8am- 6pm (with a possible extension of hours in the future). The successful candidate[s] will be expected to work a pattern of shifts across the week and required to work rotationally cross county between Gloucester and Cheltenham General OPD’s. (Hospital transport bus available).
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the outpatients department team assisting in the delivery of high quality services under the supervision of qualified staff. To support all staff with day to day running of services undertaken at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation trust.
To work well with people at all levels and work effectively as a team member. To undertake key roles which will assist in the smooth running of the department. Ability to provide a variety of nursing and personal care and contribute to a safe and welcoming working environment for staff, patients and visitors. To communicate effectively especially where patient ability to do so maybe compromised and chaperone where required. To contribute towards a forward thinking, compassionate and inclusive workforce that focuses on an engaging team approach.
