Job summary

A vacancy has arisen for a senior support time recovery worker in the Early Intervention Service – a community based mental health service, working with those who have experienced a First Episode of Psychosis or people at risk of developing a First Episode of Psychosis. The base for this post is open to negotiation, with bases in Burton and Lichfield, Cannock and Stafford, covering the south Staffordshire locality.

Main duties of the job

  • You will support the delivery of timely access to integrated, high quality, service user- and carer-centred services that enable people with or at-risk of developing FEP to improve their well-being and functionality, with a focus particularly on the specialist needs of the younger population.
  • You will assist in the assessment of care needs and the formulation, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for individuals aged 14-65.
  • You will deliver relevant forms of mental health care under agreed levels of supervision.
  • You will assist in identifying strategies to support mental wellbeing and in the promotion of self-care and social inclusion.
  • You will communicate and work collaboratively with your Early Intervention colleagues across both First Episode Psychosis (FEP) branch and the At Risk Mental State (ARMS) branch to meet the needs of your patients.
