Job summary

This role sits in the People Analytics & Systems Team within the People Division. The post-holder will support the team by providing a high-level transactional service to managers and employees ensuring staff are paid in an accurate and timely manner and that Trust records are fully maintained. The post-holder will also support individuals and managers who may have queries regarding using our people systems (ESR and HealthRoster).

You don’t need any previous experience working in the NHS, or with our systems, to undertake this role. We are happy to provide training on our processes and our systems. You do need to be someone who is organised and works well in a team. Although the post holder will have their own areas of responsibility in terms of managers to support, there will be an expectation to cross-cover for team members during times of absence (for example annual leave).

We need someone who can liaise with people from many different teams and will understand processes once they have been explained. We also recognise that there is always room for improvement and are open to ideas and different ways of working. Whilst there is always someone you can turn to for help, we would like someone who can show initiative to join our team and can look to solve problems on their own.

Our Corporate and Community hub, at 6 Orsman Road, is an exciting new working space, which is open plan with the People Operational Directorate and Finance sharing a space.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be expected to liaise with all teams across the People Operations Directorate, managers, finance and payroll to ensure changes to our people’s employment details (for example change in hours, change in post, leavers etc) are dealt with in line with Trust policy and in a timely manner in order to ensure payments to our people are accurate and on time. You will also be responsible for ensure these changes are recorded appropriately on our system (ESR).

In addition to this you will support our people to apply for salary sacrifice benefits, maternity benefits and car parking will also be responsible for responding to queries regarding how our people and managers use our HR systems (ESR) and our rostering system (HealthRoster), which are directed to us through a number of email in-boxes.

The People and Analytics Team normally has a few projects on the go and these often require support from our People Assistants. Currently we are supporting the organisation with ensuring everyone’s annual leave is accurately recorded on our system.

Hybrid working is encouraged; some of the role involves face-to-face interactions with our people and therefore there is a requirement for the post-holder to work from the Corporate and Community Hub in Haggerston for at least 2 days per week (up to a maximum of four).

Part time working is encouraged with a minimum of 2 days in the office and a maximum of 4; hours per week maximum.
