Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity in the Radiology Department for three enthusiastic Band 2 HCA’s who are looking for an opportunity to work in a varied and fast-paced department with direct patient contact.
You will work closely with Radiographers, Radiologists, Nurses and will become part of a dedicated team committed to giving and supporting patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the department.
The radiology department offers opportunities to expand your knowledge in a variety of diagnostic specialities. Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be given training to support radiographers in the CT scanners, MRI scanners, escorting patients to and from the department, opportunity to work in the Interventional radiology suite. The role involves night duties and weekend work as well as shifts during the week.
Excellent communication skills are vital when working in the department. if you have the additional skills of cannulation and venepuncture this is an advantage. Ability to walk around the hospital pushing wheelchairs, escorting patients on beds is essential.
Part of the role will include working off site in Bridgwater Hospital x-ray and at the Rutherford’s site once it is up and running, therefore – a car driver with a valid driving licence or have access to transport with appropriate business insurance in order to travel throughout the Trust, to meet the needs of the service.
