Excitingopportunities have arisen in Leicester City to join our Healthy Together SchoolNursing Team as a Public Health Nurse working with children and young people aged 5-19 within our 0-19service. We are offering full and part time positions.

School nursing offers a range ofservices to meet the varying needs of the local population, which includes ourwell-developed digital offer. You must have a NMC registration in any branch of nursing and aSpecialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) School Nursing registration.The ideal candidate will demonstrate a warm, respectful, caring, andcompassionate approach to delivering a flexible and responsive service for ourdiverse and continually evolving health needs of our population.

Main duties of the job

Todeliver Evidence Based healthcare, maintaining a high standard of professionalpractice.

Leadand deliver the Healthy Child Programme, within a multi-agency team setting.

Beresponsible for the identification, assessment, and management of health care needsof individuals, families, groups, and communities within a defined caseload,and for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of carewithin a range of targeted groups.

Providedelegated management responsibility to the Healthy Child ProgrammePractitioners and Healthy Child Programme Nurses.

Mentorpre and post registration students, and new members of staff as required, andsupport induction programmes.

Youmust have a full driving license that allows you to drive in the UK and the useof a car for this role. LPT operate 2 car schemes Car Leasing and Car Salarysacrifice subject to meeting the acceptance criteria. If you already hold alease car through another NHS employer you may be able to transfer the vehicleto LPT.
