Job summary

You will work alongside the other Business Coordinator and the Chief Medical Officers (CMO) Executive Assistant to facilitate the smooth running of the CMO office particularly with regard to doctors regulatory and statutory requirements for appraisal and revalidation. This role entails attention to detail and communication with senior colleagues within NHSBT and contacts outside the organisation.Working within the Clinical Services directorate, youll have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of people to drive performance. With a focus on building capability, there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and work with the wider team.Using your organisational skills, youll make sure that NHSBT is an inclusive place to work for others.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the professional and effective provision of medical business coordination service to the Chief Medical Officer and organisational Responsible Officer and senior leadership team of Clinical Services. Your responsibilities will include:Coordinating and maintaining the Clinical Services systems and processes particular to the medical workforce within the directorate. An example of this is medical appraisal and revalidation, job planning and Clinical Excellence Awards. Monitoring sickness and absence, allocation of leave and cover and national medical officer rota for the Clinical Services teamProviding cover for the Executive Assistant, as required, for day-to-day support activities for the Director, contributing to the prioritisation and planning of the Chief Medical Officer/Director of Clinical Services workload and dealing directly with issues which encompass the full range of directorate activities.
