Job summary

Ascot House Intermediate Care therapy team are looking to recruit a part time Band 3 patient support worker who has experience of working within in-patient and community teams with patients with rehabilitation needs.

Ascot House is based in Sale and the current core hours are Monday to Friday 8-4. The working days of the role are flexible and will align with the needs of the service.

Key attributes include:

Knowledge and experience with equipment and adaptations

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the therapists with the rehabilitation of patients within Ascot House with guidance and support from the allocated Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist.

Ascot House is a 36 bedded Therapy led Intermediate care unit. Ascot House is an integrated service between Trafford Local Care Organisation NHS and Trafford Council. The team are based within Ascot House and are led by an Occupational Therapy Senior Practitioner. Support is also provided by the Clinical Lead physiotherapist.

The team is committed to integrated working and you will have the opportunity to work alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medics, a pharmacy technician and the social care team. As the caseload is often demanding, candidates should be well organised and self- motivating. Above all you must be able to function well as part of a supportive team.
