Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient focused and highly motivated experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our Complex Health & Social Care Team. You will work alongside the Clinical Lead to deliver expert care, assessment and support safe and timely discharges.

This is an ideal opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with extensive clinical experience in Frailty and Complex Health care as well as community services and discharge pathways. The ideal candidate will have experience of working and managing within a team as well as multidisciplinary working.

You should have excellent communication skills and experience supporting junior team members and students with supervision, appraisal and training.

Main duties of the job

To undertake a team leader role alongside the service Clinical Lead for Acute Medical Patient Services, Consultants, Physicians, Nurses and other Allied Health Professionals (AHP’s) within the Acute Medical and Complex Health & Social Care Service, in planning, co-ordination, delivering and evaluating the therapy service provided to patients within this service area.

As an automounous practitioner they will assess, diagnose, and treat patients in their specialist field. The candidate will manage a case load alongside providing leadership and support to the Acute Complex Health & Social Care therapy team through supervision and appraisal.

The successful candidate will work to national and professional standards and apply these standards to identify and progress opportunities to facilitate service devlelopment.
