The rolewill be based in our client sites in East Grinstead and London, on a part-timebasis.

You should have a deep understanding of occupational health,safety, and welfare legislation, and be able to apply this knowledge to createand implement effective occupational health programs.

Aspart of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of excitingprojects, including health promotion initiatives, risk assessments, and casemanagement. Main duties of the job

Asa Specialist Occupational Health Nurse, you will be required to:

Conductcase management assessments.

Conducthealth assessments: pre-employment health assessments, health surveillance, andperiodic health assessments.

Deliverhealth promotion activities: delivery of individual and group health promotionactivities.

Undertakevaccination and phlebotomy services.

Workwith the Director of Specialist Nursing to develop, monitor and reviewoccupational health and relevant organisational policies and procedures toensure that they are fit for purpose and are legally compliant

Maintainaccurate clinical records, medical confidentiality and work within GDPR

Ensurethat equipment is maintained, calibrated and safe for use

  • Organise and participate in pre-employment health assessments and health surveillance programmes for staff identified as needing this on risk assessment.
  • Ensuring all Cordell Health and other equipment provided for the OHA role is maintained, calibrated and safe for use, in line with purchasing guidelines.
  • To carry out case management as set out in Cordell Health policies.
  • Act as mentor to general nurses, OH technicians and placement students as required.
  • To carry out the Companys activities to agreed performance indicators for operational and service delivery, meeting quality and legislative standards.
  • Champion the Cordell Health Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • Take responsibility for own personal development and update knowledge and skills, with support from Cordell Health and as identified through appraisal, to perform the role at an effective level and meet NMC regulatory requirements.
