BirminghamWomens and Childrens NHS Foundation Trust (BWC) are proud to be Lead Providerof the West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative (WMCPC) – an integratedprovision of specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability and autismservices, for young people aged 12-18. We are seeking to recruit compassionate,experienced professionals to the roles of Specialist Case Manager to lead forWMCPC for children and young people (CYP) who present with a number of complexneeds. There are three roles in total, one is substantive and the other two are12-month fixed term contracts.

Main duties of the job

The WMCPCprogramme went live on the 1st October and the initial focus was themobilisation of the business case and overall programme, but over time theareas of priority focus will change and this role will be utilising their skillset and experience to support the clinical pathway team with the transformationon emerging priority areas.

  • Detailed knowledge of legal issues pertaining to the specialist service, including MHA 1983, after care under supervision, sex offender legislation, probation orders and life license, Ministry of Justice procedures and child protection legislation
  • Detailed operational knowledge of secure services, including risk assessment/management
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
