Adecco, Nottingham has an exclusive Temporary assignment for 3 months to work as a Research Assistant in their Linguistics department.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the work of our clients Cultures project, which is supporting the delivery of new research strategy.

The person appointed to this role will be expected to work independently to plan and conduct an analysis of data and to write this up into an end-of-project report, for sharing with our client’s team.

  • Ability to conduct independent research including demonstrable ability to project manage work and meet agreed deadlines and milestones.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate research findings in appropriate formats to meet the needs of different audiences
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to interrogate and illuminate data and draw out findings
  • Ability to apply relevant corpus linguistics research approaches, models, techniques, and methods
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to work proactively and independently prioritising own time and resources.
  • Experience of influencing and negotiating with stakeholders
  • PhD (completed) in corpus linguistics, desirable
