We are recruiting qualified, BABCP Accredited CBT Therapists or Clinical Psychologists. We offer flexible working opportunities for part- or full-time work hrs/week) and will consider newly qualified CBT trained staff with Provisional BABCP Accreditation or HCPC registered Clinical/Counselling Psychologists who are eligible for BABCP Accreditation.

We are looking for supervisors and clinicians with expertise to work in our LTC/Covid provision, with clinical experience working with young people in the developing 16-25s pathway, or who can help increase our reach to older adults and to engagement work with men and our local communities.

We offer excellent BABCP supervision and extensive, funded CPD. Staff are also supported to undertake management and service-wide roles for career progression and leadership opportunities.

Our Ethnic, Diverse and Inclusive service focus includes reflective practice and we hold month reflective practice groups for CBT therapists. Staff wellbeing and compassionate leadership are priorities in our service, with a focus on clinical skills and development.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

As an NHS Talking Therapies service, we provide Low intensity and High Intensity psychological therapies within a stepped care model at steps 2 and 3. Our team has Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and High Intensity Counsellors, as well as Assistant Psychologists and trainees, and a supportive administrative team.

Applicants for this position will provide service-wide assessments, CBT assessment for treatment and treatment interventions at step 3 of the service and also attend team meetings and training. The role is partly-remotely based, which means that there will be a requirement to demonstrate experience of, and work effectively, via telephone or video. We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, who are adaptable, enjoy variety, and working independently as well as within a team context.

In order to be shortlisted for this post, applicants must be BABCP fully or provisionally accredited or have attended a BABCP accredited CBT training course.

About us

Our service is part of the CNWL NHS Foundation Trust with the Hillingdon NHS Talking Therapies clinical service based in central Uxbridge in Greater London with good public transport and road links to central London and outside the M25.

Our service currently works a mix of site and remote working, however this is guided by patient need and may change over time, so there is no fixed division of site and home work. CNWL operates a flexible working policy to support staff with a good work / life balance.

  • Specialist experience acquired through having conducted 200 hours of supervised assessment and therapy during training.
  • Experience of teaching, training and supervision.
  • Experience of delivering assessments and treatments remotely via video platforms.
