The Role :
This is an exciting time to join ION where you will be joining a rapidly growing Security team with ample opportunity to make your mark quickly. As the expert in cloud security architecture, you will be responsible for ensuring that the businesss cloud security architecture roadmap supports the business objectives. The successful candidate will have a track record around cloud security architecture with expert knowledge of security architectures, technologies, standards, and industry guidelines, especially those applicable to Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). Additionally, you must have expert knowledge of securing applications for an enterprise in key public clouds including Amazon AWS, Azure and GCP. Including Network security models. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a complete understanding of the companys technology and information systems 
  • Align organizational security strategy and infrastructure with overall business and technology strategy 
  • Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats 
  • Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge 
  • Perform or supervise vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments 
  • Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements 
  • Respond to, and investigate, security incidents and provide thorough post-event analysis 
  • Regular communication of vital information, security needs and priorities to upper management

    • Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of Security Risk and Compliance for large scale enterprise computing solutions 
  • You will have experience working as an Information Systems Security Engineer ISSE or Information System Security Officer ISSO for cloud deployments along with a history of hands-on systems administration or engineering with demonstrated technical skills 
  • Must have designed landing zones for different risk cases
  • Hands on seasoned solutions architect experience and architecting designing and implementing cloud based and or cloud native solutions 
  • Experience with cloud compliance and or common industry security standards. 
  • Desired AWS certifications Specialty or GCP Certified Professional Security Engineer
  • Experience presenting Security technical and compliance material to both technical and non-technical customers 
  • IT security or risk assessment certifications are advantageous
