COMMERCIAL STRATEGY MANAGER

Their incredible growth journey has lead to the creation of this brand new role that provides strategic support, advice and Management to the sales function, and reports directly to the Sales Director. The key focus of this Business Strategy Manager role is to guide and influence the sales teams towards their growth targets through the used of data and BI (Power BI), and to drive profitability through setting strategic growth plans and goals.

Duties:

  • Leadership – You will have responsibility for the distribution sales management team and sales teams to deliver on company sales plan.
  • Motivation – You will motivate the sales teams to hit and exceed their targets
  • Strategy – You will design and implement sales strategy to deliver sales plan and overall distribution efficiency.
  • Analysis and insights – monitoring performance against plan and delivering insights in performance and optimisation
  • Planning – Develop plans that will be implemented by reviewing and establishing strategic priorities and convert them to quantitative and actionable plans, identifying the specific time and resources needed to meet each business goal.
  • Risk Management – Evaluate potential threats and establish plans to minimize them, helping business leaders to understand and manage expectations and the impact to wider business goals and strategies. Develop and recommend viable scenarios for mitigating any potential risks and develop risk reports for your Sales Director and wider business leadership.
  • Performance Management – Develop and manage KPIs and sales managers to forecast and analyse distribution performance to facilitate accurate budgeting, resource planning and goal setting.
  • Coaching department leaders to help them implement any distribution plans to meet our business goals and growth. Provide strategy support across departments to review, analyse and manage all department strategies to ensure all departments align to distribution.
  • Collaboration with the Sales Director, Exco and wider senior leadership team in setting distributions agenda and vision. Working across the business to develop and implement the distribution plan, collaborating with departments that will help you implement, manage, and assess the success of the plan.
  • Data Analysis of distribution strategy and performance, identifying opportunities for improvement. Benchmarking performance and results to measure long-term market trends which aid the overall strategy.
  • Crisis Management to adopt strategies in light of economic pressures. Aiding further analysis and a preventative plan for the future.
  • Creative problem Solving to overcome political, behavioural, and systematic barriers to enable creativity, change and business growth. Provide alternative solutions to existing problems. Enable innovation and creativity to develop new winning strategies.
  • Market Leadership by designing and implementing competitive strategy to achieve the companies ambitious growth plans recommending the best actions to adopt to grow our market share.
  • Benefits:

  • A highly competitive base salary of between £75,000 and £90,000 P/A based on the experience of the candidate
  • A performance related bonus of up to 50% of salary
