Band 3 Therapy Assistant / Trainee Therapy assistant dependant on experience – Neuro Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy).

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, forward thinking and dynamic individual to be part our neuro rehabilitation service.

The right candidate will have experience in working in health and/or social care or similar settings and have an awareness of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. The post holder will have excellent communication skills and can work effectively as part of a Multi – Disciplinary Team.

We are looking to appoint an individual who has the appropriate experience and qualifications, the right candidate will able to demonstrate a passion for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, a flexible approach and a drive to develop themselves and the service they work in. Candidates who do not have a level 3 qualification will be willing to work towards this.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with OT and Physio supporting patients in the hospital and community setting. The role of the Therapy assistant is to support the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team in delivering their interventions to patients with a variety of neurological problems, including stroke, MS, MND, Parkinson’s Disease and spinal cord injury.

A UK driving license, access to a car and business insurance is essential for this post. (reasonable adjustments will be considered)
