Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Molecular Radiotherapy Technologist to join our Medical Physics team based at The Duchess of Devonshire Wing (Cancer Centre) W1G 6JA, with an attractive salary range on offer starting at £41,310 inclusive per annum. As Molecular Radiotherapy Technologist, you will assist in the provision of a Molecular Radiotherapy Service of the highest standard.
Main duties of the job
* Support routine Molecular Radiotherapy treatments and maintain a high standard of technical skill, efficiency, and patient care in accordance with departmental protocols and procedures.* Ensure that standards are maintained in accordance with departmental protocols and national guidelines.* Receive referral requests and ensure compliance to IRMER referral criteria.* Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of Molecular Radiotherapy standards, guidelines, protocols and policies. * Provide input to ad-hoc initiatives and projects as required.* Provide routine advice to patients undergoing administration of radioactive materials as well as to staff or relatives providing care to such patients, to ensure the risks of exposure to ionising radiation are understood by the concerned parties.

With the latest advances in surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, our expert consultants work closely with nursing teams to look after patients throughout their journey. We treat an extensive range of cancers, from breast cancer to rare tumours such as thymoma, and our purpose-built haematology unit is equipped to provide hemotherapy, immunotherapy and both autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants. The London Clinic has a busy Molecular Radiotherapy service delivered by a multidisciplinary team. The service has seen rapid expansion since opening in 2010 and now includes a broad range of treatments, including: Radioiodine, SIRT, Lutathera, and Lutetium-177 PSMA. Recently, we have started collaborating on Molecular Radiotherapy research with several new projects in the pipeline.
