Job summary
Are you a Senior Clinical Leader in a Theatres setting and looking for the next step on your leadership journey? If you thrive on a challenge and have demonstrable experience of leading and managing in an Operating Theatre environment, then this post may be for you.
This role provides clinical and operational leadership for theatres as part of the Anaesthetics and Theatres Business Unit management team within the Division of Surgery at UHDB. The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior RN or ODP by background. In addition, you will be a self-motivated individual, as well as a compassionate credible leader with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
This role will also be responsible for providing assurance to senior managers in the business unit and the wider Trust that our theatres deliver high quality, safe and efficient services across all 4 of our sites. You will have demonstrable experience of leading and implementing quality theatreservices for our patients.
Main duties of the job
You will have responsibility for providing clear operational leadership and direction to our team of theatre managers to provide safe and effective day to day running and planning of elective and non-elective services in theatres.
This role will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a strategic vision for theatres that encompasses developing clinical capability in line with service needs, ensuring a safe and efficient service for our patients as well as a shared vision for compassionate and inclusive leadership for our teams.
