The role is both varied and rewarding, where youll provide outstanding care to our residents by supporting them with their daily living activities. Youll provide keyworker support to named residents and ensure their wellbeing by supporting with meaningful conversations and interests whilst promoting their dignity and independence. Person centred care planning will also ensure residents needs are recorded and communicated.

This role does involve some weekend and bank holidays working, for which enhancements are paid.

Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant you’ll provide outstanding care to our residents by supportingthem with their varied daily living activities. This will include spending time with themin order to build and maintain relationships and social contact, promoting theirindependence by undertaking appropriate activities with them such as gardening, carmaintenance, cookery, etc. Maintaining a standard of cleanliness in residents roomsand standards of hygiene in accordance with their wishes so that personal dignity isretained.

  • Completing individual care plans with residents to ensure they receive appropriate care.

  • Advising senior staff of any issues (both personal and environmental) concerning welfare of residents.

  • Sharing information on individual residents care needs by liaising with residents, relatives and senior staff.

  • Acting as a key worker for a number of residents so that a special relationship is forged and maintained with them to promote their physical, emotional and social well being.

Day to day tasks may include:

  • Spending time with the residents (both at the unit and on external trips).
