The Temporary Staffing Bank Teamis a friendly dedicated group of staff based on site here at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. The aim of the team is to ensure that Wards and Departments are never understaffed. They do this by ensuring that there is a pool of ‘Bank’ staff to call on who want to do extra shifts or temporary work. Temporary Staffing Bank workers are:- Staff that are available to be called on to work in a flexible capacity to fill a temporary vacancy or staffing shortfall. This type of work is carried out under the understanding of No Mutuality of Obligation. The Temporary Staffing Bank provides temporary cover for Wards, Departments, and Community services on a daily basis. Bank Workers may be required to cover any short-term staff shortages. Therefore Bank workers can be called to work anytime from a few days or hours’ notice.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled and motivated Bank Nursing Team, working within the Surgical Directorate on Ward A12. Ward A12 is a 25 bedded female surgical patients primarily from Surgical Admissions Unit. We are a friendly and supportive team and would consider any variations to our usual shift start and finish times.

Practice within the NMC Standards of Practice and Behaviour for Nurses and Midwives

Participate in the assessment of patient care needs, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care in accordance with the agreed policies and procedures of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

Administer prescribed medication and treatment in a timely manner, in accordance with Trust policies and Professional guidelines.

Take responsibility for groups of patients as required, with minimal supervision from senior staff.
