The Datum Pack & ILS Configuration Lead role is based within our Warships business area.

The role

The difference our new Datum Pack & ILS Configuration Lead will make
As a Datum Pack & ILS Configuration Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The T31 Project is the pathfinder and cornerstone of the National Shipbuilding Strategy and will be delivered in an innovative manner at pace with all 5 ships to be in-service by Dec 2028. Accurate configuration management of the ships is critical to their affective operation and support. This role will be pivotal in the achievement of this.

Day to day, you’ll control and manage the configured account, registers and datum pack.

Essential experience

* Degree or HNC qualified in an engineering discipline (mechanical, marine, electrics/electronics, systems or information systems) or relevant experience at the discretion of the Warships Engineering Director / T31 Head of Supportability.
* Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer working towards Chartered status.
* Experience within a complex asset management environment.
* Experience of data management.
* Ability to work in a complex, multi-discipline team.
* Strong written communication skills; the delivery of well structured, unambiguous technical documentation and reports.
* The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
