Finance Business Partner – Clinical and Scientific Services (CSS)

We, as a managed clinical service (MCS) and finance team, are very excited about the opportunities which are on offer to ensure that CSS is a leader within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and as such we are looking for likeminded colleagues who will be proactive and have a desire to drive the team and MCS forward.

Collaboration is at the heart of CSS and we are seeking a talented and proactive Finance Business Partner to joinour high performing finance team, working with the divisions to provide a financial management service and be a business partner to ensure our services are client focused.

Finance Skills Development (FSD) and Future Focused Finance (FFF) are at the heart of our learning and development journey, you will truly make a difference by working closely with experienced colleagues, accomplished business leaders and access to extensive ongoing professional development across the MCS, Trust and region.

Main duties of the job

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing high quality financial information support and advice to the Managed Clinical Service (MCS), thereby assisting the MCS and Directorate Managers to achieve their financial objectives. The post holder will be required to work closely with clinical staff

The post-holder will also proactively contribute to the wider finance agenda, including:

  • The CSS efficiency programme.
  • The annual financial planning cycle.
  • Promoting/delivering financial training and support to a range of stakeholders.
  • Supporting the learning and development of the Finance Team, including through Future Focused Finance activities.
  • Fostering excellent working relationships, networks and collaborative behaviours across MFTs wider teams/sites.
  • Contributing to specific wider finance projects
