Hammersmith Hospital is ICHT’s specialist hospital based in East Acton and renowned for its strong research connections. It offers a range of services including renal, haematology, cancer and cardiology care, and provides the regional specialist heart attack centre.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our growing nursing workforce due to service expansion. Currently, we have 5 cardiac cath labs, 8 day case beds, 5 radial chairs and 1 recovery space. By end of this year, we would be expanding into 6 cath labs, 8 day case beds, 6 radial chairs, and 4 recovery beds.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide high quality compassionate intra-operative care to all patients undergoing minimally invasive cardiac diagnostics and interventional procedures, from admission to discharge.
  • To be professionally accountable for own actions and to work within the guidelines, policies and procedures of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
  • Provide support and individualised care to patients, relatives/carers in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, in line with local and national targets.
  • At all times ensure that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery.
  • To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.
