Kennedys’ professional liability team deal with all areas of professional liability and handle claims of all sizes and complexity, including for insurers who underwrite some of the world’s largest financial institutions, global law firms, the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms, as well as for insurers who underwrite regional, local and smaller institutions and firms.

  • Professional indemnity claims across all lines of business including against solicitors, financial professionals, construction professionals and IT consultants as well as handling insurance/policy disputes.
  • Required experience

    Associate

  • 0-3 years’ UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience*
  • Familiar with professional indemnity policies and coverage issues, or alternatively experience within Commercial Litigation.
  • Experience of assisting on large cases in a team environment
  • Some experience of handling low quantum/straightforward professional indemnity claims
  • Previous experience of client contact and attendance at business development events preferred.
  • Senior Associate

  • 5+ years’ UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience*
  • Familiar with professional indemnity policies and coverage issues
  • Experience of handling a range of non-construction professional indemnity claims
  • Experience of handling arbitrations/mediations
  • Preferably with existing client contacts and willingness to engaged actively in client development.
