Reporting to the Group Deputy Chief Executive We are seeking a Director of Performance and PMO (VSM) to provide leadership and expert advice in performance and project management across our group, working across both trusts. This role represents a unique opportunity for a strategic and visionary individual to drive change and make a real impact on patient care and staff wellbeing.

The Director of Performance and PMO will be responsible for the following key areas:

Performance monitoring, performance management and performance planning : This includes acting as the lead advisor to Boards and committees on all aspects of Trust and group performance, developing board level reporting, and establishing and overseeing robust group-wide processes for performance monitoring and intervention.

Main duties of the job

Programme Management Office (PMO) : The Director will be accountable for the development and implementation of the group’s programme management approach, universal governance and monitoring framework for a suite of programmes. The individual will also act as the executive lead for key PMO-led programmes of work.

Business intelligence : Working closely with the Chief Digital Officer, you will develop and implement proposals to create an enhanced business intelligence capability across the group, taking into account the needs of the performance function as well as Trust leadership teams and other group functions.

Capacity and demand : The Director will lead the generation of a robust approach to capacity and demand assessment across the group, and act as an expert and leader on capacity and demand issues with wider stakeholders.

Intervening in performance challenges : Support the Managing Directors and Trust Chief Operating Officers in performance interventions in specific services, working in conjunction with them to improve performance and drive change.

We are seeking ambitious and talented candidates for this exciting new role. You will have significant experience in performance management, project management and/or PMO, as well as the ability to provide strategic and operational leadership. A strong understanding of capacity and demand assessment and the ability to provide insight to a complex range of stakeholders is also required.
