An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Multi-discipline medical team. You will be a highly valued member of our team bringing your expertise and skills in ophthalmic procedures.   As a Consultant at Practice Plus Group you will have access to great facilities in a well-structured and relaxed environment. We offer high quality day case treatment in a wide range of specialties and deliver excellent clinical care. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patients treatment is of the highest standard.   Applications for full or part time work are welcome and if you are from outside of the local area, there is a very generous relocation package available to support you.   Reporting to our Hospital Medical Director, Alison, you will perform a range of ophthalmic procedures on patients referred to the Hospital. You will be treating both NHS and private patients referred to the hospital, working in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices.

Main duties of the job

As well as being able to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in elective ophthalmics from your substantive experience you will required to demonstrate a high level of operative skill in some of the following areas:   High Volume Phakoemulsification under topical anaesthesia Occuloplastics Glaucoma Wet AMD   As a UK registered medical professional, with a listing on the Specialist GMC register, we will support you with your ongoing CPD and career development.   Everything we do is focused on providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care.
