An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Anticoagulation Specialist Nurse, within the Inpatient Medical Specialities

The anticoagulation team are highly specialized in the care of patients within South Manchester who are currently receiving oral or parenteral anticoagulation treatment. The post holder will be required to work Monday – Friday between the hours of 08.30 -17.00

You must be a team player with exemplary communication and interpersonal skills. You will be committed to the support and development of self and others and driven and motivated to work collaboratively in order to achieve the highest standards of care for our patients.

You must be a motivated and enthusiastic ideally with anticoagulation experience, although full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Ideally, you will be in possession of the non-medical prescribing qualification, although if not, the right candidate will be supported to do this once fully trained.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly and forward thinking team, with opportunities for specialist training and further study, including attendance at national conferences

Main duties of the job

The anticoagulant service provides a service monitoring and adjusting patients warfarin doses for patients who have a variety of thrombotic conditions or cardiac problems.
