Randstad are currently working with one of the UK’s Leading Healthcare Providers who are recruiting for a Residential Children’s Support Worker to join an outstanding Young People’s Service. This is a full time role (around 42 hours a week) based in Wythenshawe in Manchester. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary of between £25k – £28k depending on experience and qualifications.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is childcare focused, patient, used to working/living with children, dealing with avoidance and frustration and comfortable dealing with personal care and challenging behaviour.
  • Someone who is caring, kind, positive, willing to go the extra mile, reliable, organised and kind hearted.
  • Someone with past experience working with young adults (essential).
  • Ideally someone with Children Care experience (desirable).
  • Must be a driver.
  • CYP level 3 (desirable).
  • Someone who can commit to an average of 2 sleepovers per week.
  • Duties:

  • The main aim of this role is to contribute to the development of the children and young people in your care, help with all duties in connection with the safe day to day running of the home and understanding the young people in your care so you can help them the best way possible and to complete other relevant duties set out by your line manager.
  • You will offer support whilst still promoting independence.
  • You will work closely with a dedicated team to provide the very best care possible.
