An exciting opportunity has arisen for a to work as a member of the MCH community respiratory team following Funding for a new set up of a virtual ward ( although this is a 1 year Fixed term , there is high probability of this being extended should funding be continued)

As a valuable team member, you will be responsible for the clinical assessment of patients with respiratory conditions. This will be undertaken in multiple settings within the community and patients’ homes, therefore having a full driving licence and being a car owner is essential.

You will contribute to influencing all aspects of care and the management of patients within the specialty and promote the delivery of high quality, clinically effective care, providing education to support patients to manage their conditions.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist respiratory care to patients in the community with chronic lung disease and expert advice to health care professionals throughout Medway, working closely with Medway NHS Foundation Trust.

To have clinical responsibility for a caseload and assist with the setting up of clinics, virtual ward and the delivery of specialist respiratory service to patients in the community.

To work with colleagues, in an interdisciplinary way for the benefit of patients with chronic lung disease and the service, towards key service and national objectives.

To provide day to day support and supervision of junior members of staff and to deputise for specialist respiratory practitioners in their absence.
