An exciting opportunity has become available in Specialty Services for an enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Officer/Personal Assistant based at The Barberry.

The successful candidate will provide a wide-ranging administration support to the Clinical Nurse Manager and other members of the management team and to also undertake the supervision and line management of three Ward Administrators.

Specialty Services consist of The National Deaf Service, Eating Disorders Service, Perinatal and Neuropsychiatry, providing inpatient and outpatient care.

Excellent communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills are essential to this very busy role. Proven ability to work to tight deadlines, ability to problem solve and experience in the line management of staff are all essential for this role.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will also undertake the supervision and line management of ward administration processes.

Will have responsibility for monitoring the day to day administration processes on the wards in conjunction with the Ward Managers within Specialty Services.

To assist the Outpatient/Support Services Manager with ensuring there is an effective and structured provision of administration services within the teams and deputising for them in their absence. To be responsible for the co-ordination of information systems in the service and supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager and the wider management team on delegated Trust and Division-wide initiatives.
