An exciting opportunity has become available for someone to be part of a health team in Ivy House Special School in Derby.

If you are interested in developing your knowledge and becoming competent in clinical skills for children with health needs in the school environment, then this role may be for you.

You will support children with various health needs and disabilities to access education and work with an experienced, friendly, and committed team of professionals.

We are looking to employ someone with excellent communication skills and a real interest in supporting children with disabilities and health implications in an education setting.

You will be required to demonstrate the Trust Values in every intervention that you do and become skilled in safeguarding children.

We would like someone to become skilled in delivering the highest level of clinical practice in assessment, case management, care co-ordination and treatment.

Being required to ensure that the best evidence-based care is given to children, young people and their families, within the resources available to the service.

Full induction provided along with clinical and managerial supervision from the leadership team.

This is a term time job working over 5 days Monday-Friday, 09:30-15:00.

The candidate will work as part of the ‘Specialist Nurses’ for Schools Team, meeting the clinical and ongoing health needs of the school age child, following the assessment and care planning by a qualified Nurse.

This role will enable children to access their education whist having their clinical needs met.

To work as part of the disabled children’s nursing service helping to maintain professional standards of care for children with complex clinical needs under the supervision of a qualified nurse.

We will require someone who is able to demonstrate the Trust values within their everyday practice and have good communication and organisational skills, and a willingness to support the team with changing priorities and needs.
