Job summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Children’s Nurse to join the Children’s Diabetes Service. You will be working in an integrated, small friendly team that provides a children’s diabetes service across both the acute and community setting. This role will need someone clinically credible in this speciality. They also will need to have a sound understanding of the standards required to achieve clinical excellence in children’s diabetes care. You will be expected to work using virtual platforms as well as face to face.

Main duties of the job

The Children’s Diabetes Service is a well established service that provides education and support to children/ young adults and their families in the home, hospital, nursery and school setting. The team comprises of 3 Children’s Diabetes Specialist Nurses and diabetes administrator. The team work in an integrated way with Mid Essex Hospital , working very closely with two Consultants who manage the diabetes caseload, dietitians and a diabetes administrator..
