We have an exciting opportunity band 6 Eating Disorder Practitioners within our Eating Disorder Services for Bolton and for Trafford. APPLICATIONS ARE WELCOME FROM BOTH FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME candidates. Please discuss any preference for part-time employment prior to the interviews.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill these new posts, which are a part of the Transformation Project in Eating Disorders Services, which is part of the wider Transformation Project in Mental Health. These posts will be directly involved in broadening the offer to our client group, offering early intervention and updated treatment pathways to reflect changes the needs of clients with Eating Disorder.

You will work closely with an MDT and be provided with clinical supervision and support to deliver evidence based interventions

We are part of a larger eating disorder service so this provides an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of community treatment of eating disorders across the Cheshire and Wirral footprint, which has bases in Wirral, Chester, Macclesfield and Warrington.

The Bolton and Trafford services are both small, multi-disciplinary teams, serving clients with moderate to severe Eating Disorders in those two boroughs. We are very supportive of each other and encourage team members to work reflectively and creatively with this client group

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job will be

Assessing clients with a potential diagnosis of a moderate to severe eating disorder.

Delivering evidence based therapy interventions ( with support and clinical supervision)

Providing monitoring of seriously unwell eating disorder clients

Contributing to a MDT on a regular basis

Managing own caseload with support

The successful applicant will work with clients individually offering a variety of interventions .They will deliver individual therapy and monitor patients physical health. they will also offer early intervention to clients in their first episode, aged 18-25, to increase engagement at a critical time in the development of their illness.

They will risk assess , plan care and evaluate care delivered.

They will work collaboratively with other mental health services ,act as care coordinators for the most ill clients and

They will use outcomes to evaluate care delivered.
