Role: Part Time Finance Officer – Maternity Leave Contract

Hours: 22.5 hours per week / 09:00am-13:30pm

Location: New Cross (Lewisham)

Salary: £32,792 – Pro Rata – £19675

Duties included within the role but are not exclusive too:

  • Processing of Supplier invoices using the PO System for the College and subsidiary companies accurately and in accordance with the supplier payment terms
  • Chasing of unauthorised invoices in a timely manner
  • Organising emergency payments as required ensuring accuracy of transactions
  • Being the first point of contact in respect of all purchase ledger queries
  • Monthly reconciliation of all supplier accounts against statements
  • Accurate processing of cashbook payments and receipts
  • Preparation and posting of monthly, quarterly, and annual journals as required
  • Processing of all employee expenses in accordance with the Foundations expense policy
  • Assisting with the online payment platform by processing queries
  • Continual personal development of financial legislation and statutory requirements.
  • To support the Senior Finance Officer as required
  • Skills Required:

  • AAT level 3 or equivalent
  • Use and understanding of SAGE
  • Purchase order processing and reporting
  • Previous experience in the Charity or Education Sector
  • Advance user of Excel , Microsoft and word processing
  • Tact, Diplomacy, and the ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a ‘customer service’ approach
