A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated individual to join our practice governance team within East and North strategic business unit.

As a member of the practice governance team you will be involved in supporting service development, quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance of teams within your portfolio.

The post holder will support a portfolio of services across the business unit.

Main duties of the job

Implement quality improvement and practice governance projects and initiatives in the service in consultation with the Senior Matron, MD, CD and Service Line Leads to provide assurance of integrated practice governance and continuous service improvement in the East and North SBU.

  • To provide leadership and direction on all matters across relevant services relating to practice governance and quality improvement.

  • Implement governance and quality reviews of East and North services and subsequent action plans
  • To liaise and work with the Practice Audit and Clinical effectiveness team to identify audit priorities for East and North SBU and facilitate Service and team level audit programmes to support quality improvement. To undertake audits on behalf of SBU services.
  • Support service and team concordance with processes for the reporting of, and learning from, incidents, including the monitoring of incident reports. Proactively use this learning to identify and facilitate quality improvement initiatives. Undertake serious incident investigations.
  • Sharing and spreading innovation and improvement ideas; engaging with individuals and teams to both share their improvement work and to help them to gain the benefits of the work of others through understanding the core improvement idea and how they can apply it to their context.
