Bristol Eye Hospital – Medical Records Administration Supervisor.
If you are computer literate, a good team player and able to work on your own initiative, Bristol Eye Hospital needs you!
We have a vacancy within the Medical Records Department for a Band 3 Supervisor to work 37.5 hours per week. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of Medical Records Clerks, ensure a high quality service is provided and work to maintain a very high standard of case note preparation for our outpatient clinics. The post holder will also contribute to the wider future Medical Records strategy. You will have line management responsibilities for the Band 2 Pull and Prep clerks

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Band 2 Pull and Prep clerks.
- Create and maintain cover rota for the day to day tasks of Medical Records i.e. desk,phones, filing pull and prep.
- To maintain the department’s performance, ensuring that a high percentage of notes are provided for Outpatient appointments at least three days in advance.
- Be responsible for the effective performance of the Medical Records pull and prep clerks by ensuring that the main duties are fulfilled at all times and by taking appropriate actions where any resource shortfalls occur.
- To attend regular departmental meetings held by the Performance and Operations team.
- Escalate staffing and service issues appropriately.
